Type at your elbows, with your wrists and shoulders relaxed
Your desk was built one height for everybody. This keyboard tray moves the keyboard instead of the desk: it mounts under the desktop and carries the board up to 8.7 in (220 mm) lower, so you set the typing height to your elbows and settle into comfort typing for the whole workday.
A steel frame, an MDF board with a molded wrist rest along the front edge, and a linear rail that glides. It weighs 10.25 lb (4.65 kg), and it feels like part of the desk.
Tilted away from you, so your hands run straight
Two adjustments do the work. The bracket sets the height anywhere from level with the desk down to 8.7 in (220 mm) below it, and the board tilts from +6 deg up to -25 deg down.
Tilting the far edge of the keyboard down and away lets your forearms and the backs of your hands run in a straight line, and the down-tilt is the larger of the two ranges. A knob at the bracket sets the angle and locks it: set it once and it stays exactly where you left it.
Push it in and the desk is a desk again
The board rides on a linear rail with 9.5 in (241 mm) of travel. Pull it out and the keyboard is right where your hands want it. Push it in and it disappears under the desk top, handing you the whole surface for paperwork, a laptop, a second monitor or dinner.
The mount also swivels 180 deg, so the board angles left or right to match the way you sit and puts the mouse platform exactly where you want it.
Solid, steady and installed in about half an hour
The steel frame screws into the underside of your desk, which is why the tray sits rock steady however fast you type. Mark the holes, drill pilot holes, and drive the screws with the wrench in the box. Buyers say it best: “Installation was a breeze” and “Easy to install and feels really sturdy.”
It suits desks with a solid underside in wood, MDF or particleboard, with a flat, clear area of 14.2 x 6.1 in (360 x 155 mm) for the mounting frame. Everything else comes in the box; bring a drill and a bit, and a second pair of hands to hold the board while you start the first screw.
Room for a full-size keyboard and your mouse
The platform measures 25 x 9.8 in (635 x 250 mm), wide enough for a full-size keyboard with a number pad, with the separate mouse platform carrying the mouse alongside so neither crowds the other.
The front edge is a molded wrist rest, formed into the board, and two small raised strips on the surface hold the keyboard in place when the board is tilted down. The rated load is 11 lb (5 kg), which gives a keyboard and a mouse room to spare.
