Electric bunion corrector · heated splint · left, right or pair
Hold the big toe straighter, with warmth at the joint.
A hinged splint that holds your big toe in a straighter line while you rest, with a warming pad built in against the bunion joint. Three heat levels and a 30, 45 or 60 minute timer sit on a small control unit on the strap.
Put it on with your feet up in the evening, choose a heat level, and let the timer switch the warmth off.
How it holds
A strap, an arm and a loop.
A soft strap wraps around the middle of your foot and fastens on itself. From it, a rigid arm runs along the inner edge of the foot to the big toe, with a hinge beside the joint, and a soft loop goes around the toe.
The arm keeps a gentle, steady pull on the toe toward a straighter position for as long as you wear it. Adjust the strap until it feels snug, never tight.
The warmth
Three heat levels, one timer.
A warming pad on the inside of the arm rests against the big-toe joint. One button turns the unit on and steps through High, Medium and Low; the other sets a 30, 45 or 60 minute session.
Start on Low and check your skin after the first few minutes. Warmth is for comfort while you rest; it is not a treatment.
Putting it on
Three steps.
Wrap the strap
Sit down, place the arm along the inner edge of your foot and fasten the strap around the middle of the foot.
Loop the toe
Slip the soft loop around your big toe and adjust until the toe is held, not squeezed.
Set heat and time
Press power, choose High, Medium or Low, then choose 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
Left, right or pair
Order the foot with the bunion.
Each splint is made for one side, because the arm has to sit on the inner edge of the foot. Choose Left Foot or Right Foot for one unit, or 1 Pair for a mirrored set if both big toes lean in.
Each unit has its own control unit, so you can set the two feet differently.
Straight talk
What a splint can and cannot do.
A splint holds the big toe in a straighter position while it is on. It does not change the shape of the bone, and it does not replace advice from a podiatrist or doctor.
Many people use a splint at rest for comfort and support. If your pain is severe, getting worse, or you have diabetes, poor circulation or numbness in your feet, talk to a clinician before using a heated device.
