Sleep soundly in any hotel, Airbnb or dorm
Push the thin steel-plated end under a closed door, slide the switch on, and go to sleep. If the door is pushed, the wedge digs in against the floor and a loud siren goes off at the first movement, before the door has travelled far. You wake up, and whoever was pushing finds out the room is awake.
It is a palm-sized wedge with a steel ramp plate and a siren inside. It is gentle on a rented door, goes into a carry-on, and is the first thing you set up in an unfamiliar room.
Two things work together: the wedge, which makes a closed door harder to push open and slower to open quietly, and the vibration sensor, which sets off the siren at the first movement.
Stop lying awake listening to the corridor
In a strange room, every footstep outside the door and every key card beep keeps you half awake. With the alarm wedged under the door you can let that go. A siren at the door does the listening for you, and it wakes you the moment it matters.
That is the whole idea behind carrying one: a sudden, very loud siren at close range ends a quiet entry, and you get a head start on whatever comes next.
A siren that wakes the corridor
The manufacturer rates the piezo siren at 120 dB, loud the way a smoke alarm going off in the next room is loud. In a hotel corridor or a quiet apartment at three in the morning, it is more than enough to wake you and be heard through a wall.
Buyers agree: “Extremely loud, and I do mean extremely loud. My whole neighborhood can hear this when I tested it outside.”

Set up in about a minute
Open the hatch underneath, clip in a 9-volt battery, close it. Put the thin steel-plated end under the closed door, so the plate slides beneath and the tall end sits on the floor. Slide the switch to on.
A second slider sets how much movement it takes to trigger the siren, with three positions from a hair-trigger to something that rides out the building shaking when a lorry goes past. On an old timber floor or a room above a busy road, start at the lowest position and work up.
Slide the alarm switch off and it holds a door open like an ordinary doorstop.
Made for the doors you sleep behind
It fits the standard inward-opening door of a hotel room, Airbnb, dorm room or apartment, on wood, tile, vinyl or thin commercial carpet, anywhere the rubber base can grip. It works on its own, with nothing to pair or install before bed.
One wedge covers one door. Slip a second one in the bag for the room next door, or the adjoining one.
